LOWELL, Mass. — UMass Lowell Baseball Head Coach Nick Barese has announced his team's 2026 schedule, which includes 55 games. The River Hawks will begin their season with a 17-game road stretch, starting on February 13 against Morehead State in Morehead, Ky.
"We are excited to get rolling in 2026," said Barese. "There's no doubt we all have a bad taste in our mouth from last season. We're anxious to get back on the field and compete against some great competition."
The opening series versus Morehead State features three days of competition, with additional matchups on Feb. 14 and on Feb. 15 to close out the weekend. The following week, UMass Lowell travels to the Snowbird Classic in Port Charlotte, Fla. from Feb. 20-22. The team is set to face Illinois State on the first day of the neutral-site event, before going head-to-head against Miami (Ohio) on Feb. 21 and Indiana State on Feb. 22.
A three-game weekend series versus LIU (Feb.27-Mar.1) follows before the team heads west to California to kick off the month of March. UMass Lowell first visits San Francisco for a four-game series on March 6-9 ahead of a trip to Sacramento State on March 10 and a series a Pepperdine from March 12-14.
UMass Lowell concludes its long road trip with a local game at Boston College on March 18. Making their return to LeLacheur Park, the River Hawks host Binghamton (Mar.20-Mar.22) in the team's first conference series of the 2026 season. Two mid-week games follow with one at Merrimack on March 24, and the other at home versus Northeastern on March 25.
The River Hawks end the month of March with a weekend series up at Maine (Mar.27-Mar.29), leading to a short visit home on March 31 against Dartmouth, and a trip to Holy Cross the next day on April 1. Six straight America East matchups are next for UMass Lowell, first with a series at UAlbany from April 3-5 and then home games against NJIT (Apr.10-Apr.12). The team ends the home stretch by welcoming Stonehill on April 14.
More conference play for the River Hawks, as the squad travels to UMBC from April 17-19. UMass Lowell then prepares for five consecutive home games, hosting Merrimack first on April 22, followed by a three-game series versus Bryant (April 24-26), and ending the month against Boston College on April 28.
May begins with a weekend series against former America East foe Stony Brook on May 1-3. The squad then travels to the Kennedy Cup rival Massachusetts for a mid-week matchup on May 6. The final home series of the regular season will take place from May 8-10 against Maine. The River Hawks finish up the regular-season by heading to Boston College (May 12) and Binghamton (May 14-16).
The America East Championship is set for May 20-23 in Vestal, N.Y.
