River Hawks Prepare for Road Swing at Maine and New Hampshire

LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell women's basketball team (2-15, 0-5 AE) hits the road for a two-game America East road trip, first at Maine (9-10, 4-2 AE) on Thursday, January 23 with tipoff scheduled for 6 p.m. followed by a contest at New Hampshire (8-11, 2-4 AE) on Saturday, January 25 with tipoff set for 1 p.m. to follow.

Last Time Out for the River Hawks
The River Hawks' last contest was against Bryant, falling, 64-43, to the Bulldogs. Sophomore Abbey Lindsey (Staten Island, N.Y.) totaled 20 points, guiding the River Hawks and tying her season record in points in the outing. She went 6-6 from the foul line, while also collecting four rebounds. As a team, UMass Lowell outshot Bryant from the line, 80.0% to 62.5%.

Scouting the Black Bears
Maine most recently played UMBC, grabbing the 61-47 win. Caroline Dotsey led the Black Bears with 17 points, six rebounds, two assists and one steal.
