LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell women's basketball team (2-10) will start America East Conference play this week at Costello Athletic Center. First, the River Hawks will take on Maine (5-8) on Thursday, January 2 with a tipoff scheduled for 6 p.m., and then will face UAlbany (10-3) on Saturday, January 4 tipping off at 2 p.m.

Last Time Out for the River Hawks

Senior
Amina Kameric (Seattle, Wash.) had a team- and career-best 12 points. She went 4-8 from beyond the arc and picked up a rebound. Sophomore
Maddie Rice (Charlottesville, Va.) guided the team in rebounds with 12, while also tying her career record with four blocks, and put up three points and one assist.

Maine faced Coppin State in their last contest, grabbing the 66-55 win against the Bald Eagles.
Caroline Bornemann and Caroline Dotsey each notched 17 points to guide the Black Bears to victory. Olivia Rockwood trailed with 11 points.
