Looking at UMass Lowell

Sophomore Luka Marceau (Newton, Mass.) stood out in this game, showing her persistence to record two shots. Junior Megan Banzi (Plymouth, Mass.) was active on defense, a huge help to the River Hawks' keepers.

UMass Lowell then traveled to Amherst to face Massachusetts, coming up short by just one goal, 1-0. Graduate student Taylor Burgess (Mendon, Mass.) continues to excel in net, with 10 saves during the contest. Freshman Nuala Rodgers (Dedham, Mass.) received the start, playing a career-high of 77 minutes, taking two shots on the day. The River Hawks played a great first half, holding off the Minutewomen. It was not until the 51st minute when UMass Amherst scored. UMass Lowell battled the rest of the match, but was unable to answer back.
