LOWELL, Mass. - The UMass Lowell men's lacrosse team (0-5, 0-0 AE) is set to take on the UAlbany Great Danes (1-4, 0-0 AE) on Saturday, March 16. The opening faceoff is set for noon at Cushing Field.

James Donnelly (Ottawa, Ontario) tallied a goal and an assist, as the UMass Lowell men's lacrosse team fell to the Fairfield Stags, 14- 6, on Saturday afternoon. Donnelly, who has now scored in three straight games this season, was one of six different River Hawks to score in the match. Seniors

LEADING THE FLOCK
Twelve River Hawks find themselves in the points column after five games, with Donnelly leading the way with a team-high six goals and 11 points. Following him is junior
Khairi Sears (Columbus, Ohio) who leads the team with six assists alongside three goals. Right behind them, Lawhorn and Frigon both have netted five goals through five games this season while freshman
Johnny Soi (Kerhonkson, N.Y.) has found the back of the net four times. Senior
Jack Bird (Buffalo, N.Y.) has had a strong start to the season at the X, posting a .606 faceoff win percentage, good for third in the America East, while also leading the squad with 29 ground balls. Defensively, junior
Alexander Chairs (Ellicott City, Md.) leads his squad with four caused turnovers, and in net Pav has made 58 saves in five starts, which is fifth most in the conference.

AMERICA EAST HONORS
Following their impressive performances in the season opener against Holy Cross on February 10, Bird was named the America East Faceoff Specialist of the Week, while Frigon took home America East Rookie of the Week honors. Two weeks later, Donnelly was tabbed the America East Rookie of the Week after finding the back of the net twice and adding an assist against Siena.

SCOUTING UALBANY
The Great Danes enter Saturday's game coming off their first win of the season, besting Hobart, 14-10, last weekend. The UAlbany offense is led by attacker Silas Richmond, who has 10 goals and five assists for 15 points. On defense, long-stick midfielder Jake Piseno leads the conference with 18 caused turnovers, while adding 20 ground balls. In net, goaltender Landon Whitney has made 54 saves with a .486 save percentage in five starts.
