LOOKING AT UMASS LOWELL
The River Hawks enter the final week of the regular season on a four-game losing skid, falling to Binghamton and UAlbany on the road last week.
Abbey Lindsey led the team in scoring in both games, tallying 19 against the Bearcats and 14 against UAlbany. The freshman has been a key figure in the River Hawks' offense this season and will look to make an impact in two important late-season games.
Sydney Watkins returned to the floor against the Great Danes after missing two games. The River Hawks get a boost if the redshirt junior can play significant minutes in the final stretch before the postseason. UMass Lowell will look to even the season series against both Bryant and Vermont to close the season.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
Bryant welcomes UMass Lowell after taking down the Vermont Catamounts on Saturday afternoon, 57-52. The Bulldogs have won two in a row and four of their last five games with wins over New Hampshire, Binghamton, UMass Lowell and now Vermont. Bryant won the previous meeting on February 17, 62-43, in Lowell. Mariona Planes Fortuny leads the team averaging 16.8 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.
SCOUTING THE CATAMOUNTS
Vermont will have the week to prepare for Saturday's game in Lowell. The Catamounts have won three of the last five but dropped two of their last three games. Last week Vermont fell to Bryant 57-52 in Smithfield after a big 67-35 win over UAlbany on February 22. Vermont's big three in Utterback, Olson and Richason continue to lead the team on the stat sheet. Utterback is averaging a team-high 14.5 points while Olson grabs a team-high 6.0 rebounds per game. Richason is shooting 40% from the field and 31% from behind the arc.
A WIN WOULD
A win would be fifth conference win for the River Hawks and split the season series with the Bryant.
A win over Vermont would split the season series as well.
LEADING THE FLOCK
Mili Carrera leads the squad averaging 9.6 points per game while
Sydney Watkins leads the rebounding unit with 5.5 per game.
Rayne Durant is the team's leading blocker with 27 on the season.
Mili Carrera is shooting 36% from three to lead the team with 37 made 3FGs. Worley leads the team at the free throw line shooting 81% going 26-32. Watkins leads the team with 67 steals and 69 assists.
