LOWELL, Mass. - UMass Lowell freshman guard
Martin Somerville (Bowie, Md.) has picked up his third straight America East Rookie of the Week award, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.
Somerville totaled 12 points and dished out a career-high eight assists in the team's only game last week, a 101-39 victory against Emerson on December 30. He sunk two buckets from beyond the arc in the contest, and added two rebounds and a steal.
