Amina Kameric (Seattle, Wash.) had a team-best 12 points, as the UMass Lowell women's basketball team (2-10) fell, 53-33, to Massachusetts (5-6) at Costello Athletic Center on Friday afternoon.
"Just overall disappointed," said Head Coach
Denise King. "I'm disappointed in our execution, how we attacked this week with our preparation, and how we showed up. We tried to push through and comeback in the second quarter and that was a highlight for us."
A. Kameric recorded a career high in points, going 4-8 from beyond arc, and picked up a rebound. Sophomore
Maddie Rice (Charlottesville, Va.) led the team in rebounds with 12, while also tying her career record with four blocks, in addition to putting up three points and one assist. As a team, the River Hawks were able to outshoot the Minutewomen from behind the three point line, 35.7% to 30.8%.
