River Hawks Continue Road Swing at Dartmouth

LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell women's basketball team (0-3) will face Dartmouth (1-1) on Saturday, November 16, with a 1 p.m. tipoff scheduled at Leede Arena.

Last Time Out for the River Hawks
The River Hawks took on Big Ten foe Minnesota this past Tuesday, falling 83-37. Sophomore Rayne Durant (New Haven, Conn.) led the River Hawks offensively with 10 points, as well as three rebounds and two assists. Sophomore Abbey Lindsey (Staten Island, N.Y.) also contributed with 10 points, adding two rebounds and one steal. Sophomore Maddie Rice (Charlottesville, Va.) recorded a career-high in rebounds with 10. The River Hawks outshot their hosts from the foul line, 80.0% to 76.2%.

Scouting The Big Green
Dartmouth competed against America East opponent, UAlbany, losing 58-53 at home this past Wednesday. Three Big Green players reached double-digits in points, as Victoria Page led the squad with 16. Page also totaled five rebounds, three assists and one steal. Tahira Muhammad would follow with 14 points, three rebounds and two assists, while Clare Meyer had 12 points, six rebounds, four blocks and one assist. Oliva Austin grabbed the most boards with seven, also adding on eight points, two steals and one assist. Dartmouth was perfect from the foul line, and outshot its opponent from both the field (42.9% to 36.5%) and behind the three point line (27.8% to 26.1%).

Leading UMass Lowell
Durant has tallied 39 points in three games to lead UMass Lowell. She holds a flawless average from the line, going 9-9. Lindsey is up next with 28 points, followed by Rice recording 23 points, and redshirt senior Sydney Watkins (Indianapolis, Ind.) with 20.

Rice guides the River Hawks with 22 rebounds so far to average 7.3 per game, while Watkins leads the steal category with 10.
