Scouting the Catamounts
The Catamounts are coming to Cushing Field with a two-game win streak. Vermont took on NJIT on October 3, grabbing a 2-1 win on the road, and then headed back home to face UMBC and claim the 3-1 victory.
In the NJIT match, Vermont's two goal scorers were Jill Brody and Emma Warren. The Catamounts totaled 14 shots to the Highlander's 17. Kylee Carafoli was in net for Vermont, making six saves.
Versus UMBC, Kate Bossert of Vermont scored twice, with Bailey Ayer scoring once. The Catamounts outshot the Retrievers, 17-6, with Bossert notching four shots. Carafoli received the start in net, not seeing much action, resulting in zero saves.
Carafoli receives most of the starts in net for the Catamounts, tabbed with six wins, including one shutout. The keeper has 35 saves so far to average a .745 save percentage.
