LOOKING AT UMASS LOWELL
The River Hawks played back-to-back tough contests last week, earning a 2-2 draw against Massachusetts on Thursday before falling to #15 South Carolina 2-0 on Sunday afternoon. Luka Marceau scored her first collegiate goal against the Minutewomen and Julia Edholm opened her account with a long-range strike against the Kennedy Cup rival. Taylor Burgess made 20 saves over the two games, including several highlight-reel stops. UMass Lowell is still searching for its first win of the season with Stonehill and Drexel on the schedule this week.

SCOUTING THE SKYHAWKS
Stonehill is 0-3 to start the season and went 0-2 last week with a 2-0 loss at Fordham and a 5-1 loss to Maine. The Skyhawks played another America East school in New Hampshire to open the season, a 1-0 loss on the road. Karleigh Schultz has the lone goal for Stonehill this season. Mia Jackson has made two starts in goal while Leanne Durham has made one start between the posts.

MATCHUP HISTORY
UMass Lowell is 3-2-2 against Stonehill dating back to the 2008 season. The teams met last season at Cushing Field where the River Hawks put on a dominant display in a 5-0 victory. Chloe Layne and Calliste Brookshire found the back of the net in last season's meeting.

SCOUTING THE DRAGONS
Drexel is off to a 3-1 start to the new year with victories over Fordham, UMBC and Saint Joseph's. The Dragons kept clean sheets in all three wins this year. Their only loss came against #14 Pittsburgh, a 4-1 defeat on the road. Annalena O'Reilly leads the team with three goals and one assist for seven points while Delaney Lappin has two goals and two assists for six points. Four other players have scored goals this season, totaling nine players with at least one point through four games. The Dragons strong defense has limited opponents so far this season and their offensive depth has been on display in the early stages of the new campaign.

MATCHUP HISTORY
Sunday's fixture will be just the second time UMass Lowell and Drexel meet on the pitch. The Dragons hosted the River Hawks in 2021 and claimed a 3-1 victory. Calliste Brookshire scored the lone goal for UMass Lowell.
