LOWELL, Mass. – Senior
Kenzie Doyle of the UMass Lowell women's track and field team has been named River Hawk of the Week for her performance at the 2023 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Austin, Texas.
As the lone River Hawk representative at the NCAA Championships, Doyle competed in the 10K race, after qualifying at the NCAA East Preliminaries in Jacksonville, Florida on May 27. Her 33:53.23 time at the prelims advanced her to Austin, where she finished 17th with a 34:41.76 mark.
This finish earned Doyle an All-America Honorable Mention nod, as she concluded her season as one of the top 10K runners in the nation.
The "River Hawk of the Week" is chosen in voting by the UMass Lowell Athletic Communications staff. It honors the top athlete, male or female, based on performance during the previous week of competition.
