LOWELL, Mass. - Ahead of the 2023 season, UMass Lowell Men's Soccer Head Coach Kyle Zenoni has announced the addition of Diego Campos to his coaching staff. Campos joins the River Hawks after spending the last eight years as a member of the Bavarian United Soccer Club's coaching staff.

"I am thrilled to have Diego join my staff," said Zenoni. "Diego brings great connections through the youth system and is familiar with coaching high-level prospects. He is an extremely hardworking coach and brings a lot of contagious energy. He most recently left a head coaching position for MLS Next Club and was the Culture and Diversity Coordinator for MLS NEXT. We look forward to having Diego be a part of the River Hawk Family."

During his time with the Bavarian United Soccer Club, Campos filled a variety of positions, including Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Pre-Academy Director, and Boys & Girls Junior Director. As an assistant, Campos helped lead his team to become Men's National Amateur Cup Champions during the 2022 season.

"I'm thrilled to join Coach Zenoni and the River Hawk family," stated Campos. "The program has a strong foundation, and I'm excited to get to work with the team, staff and community."

Before joining the Bavarian United Soccer Club, Campos was an all-region-level midfielder for the Concordia University – Wisconsin Falcons. As a Falcon, Campos was a team captain, MVP, the CUW Male Career Achievement Award Winner, and was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America NCAA DIII Men's All-Central Region Second Team his senior year. He was also tabbed to the All-Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference team each year of his career.

Campos earned his bachelor's degree from Concordia University – Wisconsin in accounting in 2016.
