Fritz Genther's (Kingston, N.Y.) RBI single scored Humphrey to push the lead to 4-1. Delaware answered with three straight hits and one run scored to open the bottom of the fifth.
Michael Simes entered the game for
Nick DiRito and struck out one before the Hens tacked on another run to cut the lead to one. An RBI double with the bases loaded scored three to put the Hens ahead 6-4 before Simes escaped the inning.

Alex Luccini's one out single and back-to-back walks loaded the bases before Humphrey singled to bring in Luccini and make it 6-5 game.
Trey Brown's sacrifice tied the game before a hit by pitched loaded the bases once again, but the runners were left stranded.
Jacob Jette took the bump and threw back-to-back 1-2-3 innings to send the game to the eighth.
With one out in the top of the eighth, Humphrey stole his second base of the day to put runners on second and third for
Trey Brown. The senior's RBI groundout gave UMass Lowell the lead before a throwing error allowed Humphrey to tack on another run to give the River Hawks an 8-6 edge. Junior

UMass Lowell returns to action Friday, March 24 as the conference campaign begins. The River Hawks will head to Binghamton for a weekend series and a rematch of last year's America East Championship game.
