LOWELL, Mass. – Fresh off a big road victory at Binghamton, the UMass Lowell women's basketball team (3-21, 2-12 AE) returns to Lowell for the regular season home finale against the UMBC Retrievers (13-13, 10-5 AE) on Wednesday night. Tip is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the Costello Athletic Center.
Wednesday's game will be the Manning School of Business Night at Costello, with a shirsey giveaway prior to tip. The UMass Lowell coaching staff will also be wearing Autism Speaks pins in participation in the Coaches Powering Forward campaign.

The River Hawks snapped a six-game losing skid with a big 62-55 win over Binghamton on the road on Saturday afternoon. Four players scored double figures with
Jaini Edmonds leading the team with 17 points.
Ivory Finley added 14 points with
Amaya Dowdy and
Jaliena Sanchez scored 12 and 10, respectively.
Kaylen Banwareesingh and
Mili Carrera each tallied seven rebounds to lead the team. As a unit, the River Hawks shot 41% from the field and 36% from behind the arc. UMass Lowell's playoff hopes are still alive, with a three-way tie for the last two spots in the postseason as we approach the final week of the regular season.
SCOUTING THE RETRIEVERS
UMBC has won four of its last five games. Last time out, the Retrievers cruised toa 90-43 victory over New Hampshire. UMBC has the highest scoring offense in the conference at 62.8 points per game. KK White has been a key for the Retrievers all season and leads the team in scoring. UMBC has a balanced team, with every player contributing to the team's success. Kiara Bell has a team-high 220 rebounds, averaging 8.5 per game this season. She also has 39 blocks in 26 games to lead the team and sit third in the conference. Laycee Drake has dished out 69 assists this season, ninth best in the league.

Amaya Dowdy has a team-high 47 blocks and leads the conference averaging 2.0 per game. Dowdy is second on the team with 137 rebounds, behind
Kaylen Banwareesingh's 172 rebounds.
Jaliena Sanchez has been the main distributor for the River Hawks this season, tallying a team-high 84 assists, third best in the league. Sanchez and Finley have each surpassed 30 steals this season, recording 36 and 33, respectively. The two have also started all 24 games this year, with Sanchez averaging a league-high 36.8 minutes per game.
