BOSTON, Mass. – The UMass Lowell men's cross country team visited the state capital to compete against some of the best teams in New England on Saturday at the 2023 NEICAAA New England Cross Country Championships. Four runners took part in the the 8k race at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass.
Sophomore
Daniel Burns (Billerica, Mass.) led the way for the squad with an impressive 53rd-place finish and a time of 27:05.1. Freshman
Dean Allen (Chelmsford, Mass.) was the next teammate to cross the finish line, earning 74th place with a time of 27:50.7. Freshman
Nicolas Uzzo (Methuen, Mass.) finished just inside the top 100, placing 99th with a time of 28:31.3, while freshman
Seyha Rath (Billerica, Mass.) picked up a top-200 finish, coming in 112nd with a time of 29:06.8.

Daniel Burns, who has now run well in two straight meets, and
Dean Allen, who definitely ran his best race of the year," said Head Coach
Gary Gardner. "Dean made a big jump from his first two races."
Next up, the River Hawks will travel to the University of Virginia for the Pre-National Invitational on Saturday, October 14.
