LOWELL, Mass. – After back-to-back road games, the UMass Lowell women's soccer team (1-4-5, 1-1-1 AE) returns home to host the Binghamton Bearcats (3-4-5, 2-0-2 AE) on Sunday, October 8. Kickoff is set for 12:00 p.m. at Cushing Field.
The River Hawks will wear pink on Sunday for the team's annual Breast Cancer Awareness game.

LOOKING AT UMASS LOWELL
The River Hawks struggled offensively in last week's road trip, tying New Hampshire 0-0 on Thursday night before falling to Vermont 6-1 on Sunday. After a week of training, UMass Lowell will look to bounce back this weekend against a tough opponent in Binghamton.
Julia Edholm scored the lone goal for the River Hawks last week while
Taylor Burgess made several brilliant saves in both games, totaling nine across two games.
SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
Binghamton is unbeaten in conference play this season. The Bearcats opened the league slate with wins over New Hampshire and UMBC before back-to-back draws against Albany and Bryant last week. Lexi Vegoda leads the team with three goals and four assists for 10 points while Lauren Clark has a team-high four goals on the season. Paige Luke has added three goals as well while Olivia McKnight has tallied four assists this season. Kaitlyn Williams has played in and started all 12 games in goal this season, allowing 16 goals and making 49 saves with a 3-4-5 record. Binghamton is second in the league with 181 shots this season and leads the league with 82 corners.
MATCHUP HISTORY
The River Hawks are 3-6-1 against the Bearcats dating back to the 2013 season. UMass Lowell has won two of the last five meetings. Binghamton won last year's matchup in a thrilling 5-4 game in Vestal. The River Hawks last win came in 2021, a 1-0 overtime win behind a
Calliste Brookshire goal.
CONFERENCE STANDINGS
Binghamton sits atop the league standings with eight points through four games. Maine and New Hampshire are tied for second with seven points and Bryant sits fourth in five points. UMass Lowell and NJIT are tied for fifth with four points with Vermont, UAlbany and UMBC rounding out the table.
