LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell women's soccer team (2-5-6, 2-2-2 AE) returns home for the finale time in the regular season to host the UAlbany Great Danes (4-8-2, 1-3-2 AE) on Sunday, October 22 at Cushing Field. The River Hawks will celebrate the graduating seniors and fifth year players prior to kickoff at 1:00 p.m.

LOOKING AT UMASS LOWELL
The River Hawks enter Sunday after going 1-0-1 last week. UMass Lowell defeated Maine 2-0 Thursday night at home before playing to a dramatic 3-3 draw at UMBC on Sunday afternoon.

SCOUTING THE GREAT DANES
UAlbany enters the weekend after a 4-0 loss to Cornell on Tuesday night. Prior to the final non-conference game of the season, the Great Danes fell to Bryant 2-0 on the road before defeating UMBC 4-0 at home. UAlbany has also tied NJIT and Binghamton this season and lost to New Hampshire and Maine.
MATCHUP HISTORY
The River Hawks are 4-7-1 against UAlbany since the 2013 season. The Great Danes have won the last three contests, including last season's quarterfinal match at Cushing Field. UMass Lowell's last win over UAlbany came on March 28, 2021, a 2-1 win in Albany.
CONFERENCE STANDINGS
As the regular season winds down, the conference standings are getting tighter. Binghamton and Maine have clinched postseason spots with 14 and 13 points, respectively. New Hampshire sits third with 11 points while UMass Lowell and Bryant are tied for fourth with eight points. Vermont and NJIT have seven while UAlbany and UMBC round out the table with five and three points, respectively.
