LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell women's basketball team (2-17, 1-8 AE) will hit the road for the first of two away contests this week. The River Hawks take on the UAlbany Great Danes (14-9, 8-1 AE) on Wednesday, February 1 at 7:00 p.m. at the McDonough Sports Complex in Troy, New York.

The River Hawks fell to New Hampshire on Saturday evening, dropping to 1-8 in conference play.
Mili Carrera had 20 points off the bench and added three assists, three steals and two rebounds.
Kaylen Banwareesingh grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds and added eight points and two assists.
Jaini Edmonds and
Jaliena Sanchez combined for 17 points and six assists, helping UMass Lowell total 12 assists on the night.
SCOUTING THE GREAT DANES
UAlbany sits atop the America East Conference with an 8-1 mark in league play. The Great Danes fell to Maine on Saturday, 50-49, in a tightly contested game for their first conference loss this year. Three players are averaging double-digit points, with Helene Haegerstrand leading the way with 14.7 points per game. Kayla Cooper has been the key figure in the Great Danes' lineup, averaging 13.9 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. Haegerstrand and Ellen Hahne scored double figures last time the Great Danes played UMass Lowell in a 62-38 win at Costello.

A win would be a twelfth win over UAlbany in program history. A win would also snap a two-game losing skid for the River Hawks.
