Abdoul Karim Coulibaly (Bamako, Mali) has been named America East Player of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday morning.
In Wednesday's victory over UMBC, Coulibaly shot 12-for-16 (75%) from the field to set a new career-high with 24 points. He also led the team with 11 rebounds and two steals, good for his sixth double-double of the season.
Coulibaly then closed the week with another career performance, this time in a win over Bryant. The senior dominated in the paint, putting up a team-high 18 points and collecting a personal-best 15 rebounds, including six on the offensive end.
Heading out on the road for a two-game trip, Coulibaly leads the team with 12.8 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. This is the third time Coulibaly has been named the America East Player of the Week.
