LOWELL, Mass. – Riding a six-game win streak, the UMass Lowell field hockey team gets set for two more contests this week. The River Hawks first close out the month with their Spread Respect game against America East foe Maine (6-3, 2-0 AE) on Friday, September 30 at 3 p.m. before opening a five-game road swing at Northeastern (1-7, 0-0 CAA) for a non-conference tilt on Sunday, October 2 at 12 p.m.

RIVER HAWK REWIND
The River Hawks improved to 7-2 overall and 3-0 in America East action in 2022 with a dominant, 5-1 performance at New Hampshire on Sunday, Sept. 25. Graduate student

A WIN WOULD
A win on Friday would give the River Hawks their first against Maine during the program's Division I era. The Black Bears own a 16-1-1 lead in the all-time series. A win against Northeastern on Sunday would even that series at 2-2.

NATIONAL NEWS
The River Hawks currently sit 23
rd in the nation on the NCAA Division I RPI rankings. Additionally, the team is 16
th nationally for assists per game (2.56), 15
th for scoring margin (1.36) and 14
th for goals against average (1.15).

HOME SWEET HOME
The River Hawks remain unbeaten (6-0) at Wicked Blue Field so far this year, marking the program's best home start at the Division I level.

The six-game win streak is the longest at the DI level for the River Hawks, as they continue to improve upon last year's four-game run.

STARTING STRONG
The 3-0 conference record is the River Hawks' best America East start in program history with wins against Stanford, UC Davis and New Hampshire.

OFFENSIVE OUTBURST
After racking up six goals against Merrimack on Sept. 11 for their most goals in a game since 2018 (vs. Hofstra, 6-0), the squad has since maintained their high-scoring ways, finishing with four goals vs. UC Davis and five goals at New Hampshire.
SPREADING THE LOVE
The River Hawks have showed off their depth already this year, as 12 different team members have already tallied a goal and 14 have at least two points.

SHUTTING OUT THE OPPOSITION
Eleonore Boekhorst now owns 11 career blank sheets after shutting out Stanford on Sept. 16. She holds the program's Division I record for shutouts as a goalkeeper.

HELPING HANDS
With three helpers in the week of Sept. 5,
Jenna Berger currently boasts 22 career assists to take the top spot on the program's Division I record list, surpassing Christa Doiron (19, 2014-17).
Meike Vischer tallied three assists in the victory at New Hampshire, matching a DI program record first set in 2018.

AMERICA EAST WEEKLY HONORS
Eleonore Boekhorst was named America East Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 7 for her 10 saves and 1-1 performance in the cage against Massachusetts and Wagner.
