TUCSON, Ariz. – Freshman Jacob Humphrey (Standish, ME.) has been named to the Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American team, as announced by the publication on Wednesday afternoon. The rookie is one of 16 outfielders in the country to earn the honor.
 
Humphrey's stellar rookie season saw him hit .337 in 53 games for the River Hawks. He tallied 50 runs, 68 hits, 23 RBIs, six doubles, three triples and two home runs at the plate this season. The rookie was second in the country in stolen bases with 46, breaking a program record and a 25-year-old conference record for stolen bases in a season.
 
Following the conclusion of the regular season, Humphrey was also named to the America East All-Conference Second Team and All-Rookie Team. He also earned America East Rookie of the Week honors three times in the 2022 campaign.
