LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell baseball team (23-26, 13-14 AE) will wrap up the regular season with four games in five days. The River Hawks welcome the Northeastern Huskies (26-25-1, 9-12 CAA) to LeLacheur Park on Tuesday before a road trip to take on the UAlbany Great Danes (21-23, 10-17 AE) for a three-game series.

SERIES HISTORY vs. Northeastern
First Meeting: May 6, 1987 (UML, 11-10)
Last Meeting: March 13, 2021 (NU, 2-1)
UMass Lowell is 5-6 all-time against Northeastern. The last time the River Hawks defeated the Huskies was on March 12, 2021, where they came away with a 10-7 win in the first game of a doubleheader. UMass Lowell has lost five of the last six meetings with the Huskies.
SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
Northeastern comes to Lowell with a 26-25-1 overall record. Last time out, the Huskies fell to UNC Wilmington in a series sweep over the weekend. Prior the weekend conference series, Northeastern knocked off #8/#13 UConn on the road on Tuesday afternoon. The offense is led by Mike Sirota who is hitting .326 on the season with 27 runs and 46 hits. Sirota leads the team with 18 extra base hits as well. Jeff Costello leads the team with 50 hits on the season and has tallied 28 runs. Northeastern is expected to start RHP Jake Gigliotti on Tuesday afternoon. The redshirt sophomore has a 3-0 record this season with a 4.26 ERA and 15 strikeouts in 25.1 innings.

UMass Lowell is 19-20 all-time against UAlbany. The River Hawks won the series 2-1 against the Great Danes at LeLacheur Park earlier in the season. UMass Lowell won the first two games before UAlbany won the series finale.
SCOUTING THE GREAT DANES
The Great Danes welcome the River Hawks to Varsity Field to close out the regular season. Last time out, UAlbany fell to the Maine Black Bears 2-1 in a conference matchup last weekend. Maine won games one and two before the Great Danes claimed a 10-5 victory in the series finale. Will Binder has a team-high .351 batting average this season and has tallied 33 runs, 59 hits and 41 RBIs. Brad Malm leads the team in almost every offensive category with 52 runs, 64 hits, 15 home runs and 47 RBIs on the year. On the mound, Connor Eisenmann leads the team with a 6-2 record and a 4.91 ERA in 16 appearances this season. The sophomore has 49 strikeouts in 58.2 innings.
LOOKING AT UMASS LOWELL
The River Hawks enter the final week of the regular season coming off three straight conference series victories. UMass Lowell knocked off UAlbany, Maine and Hartford in the last three weeks with 2-1 series wins in each matchup. The River Hawks visited Hartford over the weekend and won games one and three of the series. This season, UMass Lowell has won six conference series.
HIGH-POWERED OFFENSE
The UMass Lowell offense is one of the best in the league, sitting third in team batting average at .285 on the season. The River Hawks lead the conference with 357 runs, 488 hits and 320 RBIs as a unit. Senior
Gerry Siracusa (Kinnelon, N.J.) leads the team with 69 hits, 14 doubles, 57 RBIs and 117 total bases with a .565 slugging percentage on the year. Siracusa sits second in hits and eighth in the conference hitting .333 in 48 appearances this season. Fellow senior
Robert Gallagher (Mullica Hill, N.J.) leads the conference in on base percentage at .478 and has tallied 46 runs and 52 hits for the River Hawks in 46 appearances. Six other River Hawks have recorded over 20 hits this year.

Joshua Becker (Burlington, Mass.) has struck out 68 hitters and has a 5-4 record with a 5.40 ERA in 17 appearances.
PLAYING LIKE VETS
Freshmen
Brandon Fish (Londonderry, N.H.) and
Jacob Humphrey (Standish, ME.) have been crucial to the River Hawks' success this season, both offensively and defensively. In the field, the rookies boast fielding percentages of .930 and .952, respectively, and have combined for 128 put outs this season. At the plate, Humphrey leads the team with a .346 batting average as well as 46 runs and three triples. He is 44-45 on stolen base attempts, leading America East and sitting second in the country in the category, as well becoming the program record holder for most stolen bases in a season.
Brandon Fish is hitting .284 on the year and has tallied 56 hits and 47 RBIs. Fish earned America East Player and Rookie of the Week honors on May 9 for his stellar weekend against Maine. Freshman
LJ Keevan has been a force on the mound all season. The rookie has a 4.50 ERA and a 4-4 record with 56 strikeouts in 12 starts. Keevan has wins over Central Michigan, College of Charleston, Hartford and UAlbany.
STOLEN GOODS
As a unit, the River Hawks have stolen 128 bases on 155 attempts this season. The team is fourth in the country in the category and first in the league.
Jacob Humphrey leads the team going 44-45, sitting second in the country and first in the conference in stolen bases. Humphrey holds the program record for stolen bases in a season.
Robert Gallagher is 36-40 on the year and holds the seventh spot in the country and third in the conference. Base-running has been very important to the River Hawks' offense this year with several players converting on stolen base attempts.
Gerry Siracusa is 14-18 and
Fritz Genther is 17-20 this season. Freshman
