LOWELL, Mass. – UMass Lowell Director of Athletics
Peter Casey recently announced several staff promotions that went into effect during the 2021-22 academic year.
In facilities and events,
Alan Zebrak was promoted to Senior Associate Athletic Director for Facilities and Events, while
Matt Delmonte was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Events and Operations, and
Kimmie Zuccaro was named Director of Athletic Operations.
Additionally,
Ashley Robbins was elevated to Assistant Athletic Director for Communications and
Lainie Williams was named Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine and Performance.
Annie Jenkins was promoted to Director of Business Operations, as well.
"It is a proud moment when you can see staff members develop professionally over time in your department," said Casey. "All six of these individuals have shown their dedication and commitment to our programs, and I'm thrilled to be able to reward all of their efforts in making River Hawk Athletics the best it can be."
Zebrak first joined the River Hawk staff in 2013. In his role, he supervises all facilities and event operations for the entire athletic department, in addition to serving as the sport supervisor for both men's and women's lacrosse. Additionally, he oversees the department's partnership with Under Armour and manages all of athletics' capital projects, helping the department strive to provide first-class facilities for its student-athletes. Zebrak earned his master's degree in sport management from George Washington in 2006, and his bachelor's degree in business administration from James Madison in 2001.
Before being named Assistant Athletic Director for Events and Operations, Delmonte served as the Teams Service Manager and Director of Athletic Operations at UMass Lowell. In his fifth year on staff, he now oversees all event management, including liaising with game officials and visiting teams. He is also responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all athletic facilities. A graduate of Springfield College, Delmonte received his bachelor's degree in sport management in 2015 and his master's of education in athletic administration in 2017.
Zuccaro, who earned her bachelor's degree in sport management at Plymouth State in 2019, is also currently pursuing her master's in business administration here at UMass Lowell. In her position, she handles facility and event scheduling, game management, and equipment and apparel coordination. She also assists with gameday staff scheduling and facility upkeep.
Robbins joined the UMass Lowell staff in 2014 and served as the Director of Athletic Communications for the last five years. She oversees the promotion of all 14 Division I programs and the department as a whole through both traditional and new media channels, including video production, creative content and social strategy. She received her bachelor's degree in sport management from Syracuse in 2011 and completed her master's of business administration at UMass Lowell in 2021.
Williams is in her sixth year at UMass Lowell. In addition to her duties as the head athletic trainer and working specifically with women's basketball, she helps lead the River Hawks' holistic approach to student-athlete wellbeing, including overseeing the department's first mental health counselor. She has also been instrumental in navigating the everchanging COVID-19 landscape. Williams received her bachelor's degree in athletic training from Grand Valley State in 2007 and her master's degree in sport administration from Ball State in 2009.
Jenkins has been a member of the River Hawk business office for four years. Her duties include assisting with the fiscal management of all sports and administrative areas within the department. She is responsible for purchasing-related activities, monthly reports reconciliation and procurement card reallocation. After earning her bachelor's degree in journalism from Emerson in 2015, Jenkins received her master's degree in athletic administration from Endicott in 2017.
