LAST TIME OUT
Allin Blunt led all scorers with 21 points, but UMass Lowell dropped a 64-62 heartbreaker in overtime against UAlbany on Jan. 26. After 40 minutes was not enough to decide the outcome, the teams battled it out for another five. Blunt put the River Hawks up by a bucket, but the board was even three times down the stretch, including for the last time at 62-62 following a huge, put-back dunk by
Quinton Mincey. However, free throws by the Great Danes' Matt Cerruti proved to be the final points, as a last-second UAlbany steal on the home team's final possession sealed the decision. Blunt shot 7-for-12 from the field on the night and added a pair of assists.
John Hall and Mincey finished with 13 and 10 boards, respectively.
