BOSTON, Mass. – Five members of the UMass Lowell men's soccer team have been named to America East All-Conference teams following the end of the 2022 season, as announced by the league office on Friday morning.

Freshmen Oscar Perez (Sagunto, Spain) and Daragh Reilly (Navan, Ireland) earned spots on the America East All-Rookie Team, while senior Denis Petro (Michalovce, Slovakia) and juniors Guillermo Francés Poquet (Enguera, Valencia) and Milan Rosic (Burlingame, Calif.) were each named to the conference's All-Academic Team.

"Whenever you get end of the season awards it is pretty special," said head coach Kyle Zenoni. "We have guys working extremely hard on the field and in the classroom and it is really cool they get recognized for their efforts. This is a special group of young men and I am proud of them."

Perez and Reilly made great strides in their first seasons at UMass Lowell. Reilly, who started in 11 of the 12 games he appeared in, tallied his only goal with just over a minute to play at Rhode Island, earning the tie for UMass Lowell. Also a member of the defense, Perez started all 16 games for the River Hawks while playing in 1,310 of the 1,440 possible minutes.

Petro has earned a spot on the All-Academic Team for the second consecutive year, holding a 3.88 GPA as an exercise science major. For Rosic and Francés Poquet, it is the first time they have been given the honor. Francés Poquet owns a 3.80 GPA as a nutritional science major, while Rosic boasts a 3.86 GPA in mechanical engineering.
