LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell men's soccer team (2-8-3, 0-3-1 AE) comes home to celebrate Senior Day when they take on the Bryant Bulldogs (3-8-0, 0-4-0 AE) in a pivotal America East clash on Saturday, October 22, at 4 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
In their last game, the River Hawks fell to conference opponent Binghamton, 4-1. Senior 
Jacob Heihsel (Holliston, Mass.) made seven saves for the River Hawks in 90 minutes of action. Junior Guillermo Francés Poquet (Enguera, Valencia) scored the lone goal for UMass Lowell, while also leading the team in shots and shots on goal.
 
LEADING THE FLOCK
Senior 
Borna Miklic (Kutina, Croatia) currently leads the River Hawks with 14 points, including at least one point in six of the eleven games he has participated in. His five goals and four assists also pace the team. Right behind him is sophomore 
Viljar Byrkjeland (Norheimsund, Norway) who has four goals and two assists for 10 total points. In net, Heihsel leads the team with 56 saves and 2.56 goals against average in nine games while setting a career-high with two shutouts. Junior 
Loucas Costeas (Nicosia, Cyprus) has also seen time in net, making four starts while totaling 22 saves.
 
IMMEDIATE IMPACT
The program's newest members have already made a huge impact only a few games into the season. Ten newcomers have started at least one game, while Byrkjeland leads all new members in goals, assists, and points. Other new faces with at least a point include Torres and freshmen
 Daragh Reilly (Navan, Ireland) and Iñaki Esnaola (Junin, Argentina).
 
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
Yale comes to Lowell on a five game losing streak, including most recently a 2-0 loss to UMBC. Midfielder Digger Iqbal and forward Nick Awada lead the Bulldogs with two goals each, while midfielder Jakob Friedman's three assists pace the team. In net, Luca Marinelli has started in 9 of 11 games, totaling 54 saves and 18 goals allowed in 810 minutes of action.
 
MATCHUP HISTORY
Saturday will mark the fifth time that the River Hawks and Bulldogs will face off, but it will be the first time as conference rivals. Through the first four games, the two teams have split the matchups, 2-2. However, UMass Lowell currently holds a two game win streak over Bryant, including a 1-0 win the last time they faced, back in 2016.
