AMESBURY, Mass.—After an undefeated month between the pipes, senior
Owen Savory (Cambridge, Ontario) of the UMass Lowell hockey team has been named the Stop It Goaltending Goaltender of the Month, as announced by Hockey East this morning.
In four appearances, Savory was a force in goal for the River Hawks, posting a 3-0-1 record including a shutout over conference foe Boston University. In total, the Ontario native made 87 saves while allowing just five goals in October. Savory's efforts also earned him a league-best .946 save percentage and 1.23 goals against average.
Following his impressive performance against the Terriers last weekend, Savory also earned his first-ever Hockey East Goaltender of the Week honor on Monday.
