LOWELL, Mass. - After almost three weeks on the road, the River Hawks finally return home to host Fisher on Saturday.

LEADING THE FLOCK
Everette Hammond, who averages a team-best 10.7 points per game, and
Justin Faison, who chips in with 10.3 points, boast 11 steals apiece.
Max Brooks is also scoring in double-digits with 10.5 points per game, in addition to boasting 10 blocks. Â
LAST TIME OUT
Allin Blunt paced four double-digit scorers with a career-high 18 points, as UMass Lowell fell, 92-81, at Massachusetts in the finale of a five-game road swing on Wednesday. Despite trailing by 24 early in the second half, the River Hawks battled back to within eight in the final two minutes, but free throws would help seal the decision for the home team. Blunt went 4-for-8 from deep in the contest, marking another personal best.
Kalil Thomas added 14 points on the night, while
Gregory Hammond set a career mark with 11.
Everette Hammond rounded out the double-digit point scorers with 10.
HOME COURT ADVANTAGE
The team earned its eighth consecutive win in a home opener in 2021-22. Additionally, with a 3-4 record at home last year, UMass Lowell is now 142-89 in front of River Hawk Nation since 2003-04.
OFF AND RUNNING
With the win at GW, the River Hawks got off to their best start at the Division I level, 4-1.

The River Hawks worked hard to drive to the hoop against CCSU with their first 22 points coming from the paint. Including 40 points down low at George Washington, the team is now averaging 35.3 points per game from the paint.
DEFENSE WINS GAMES
This year, Coach Duquette has made defense a huge point of emphasis for his program, which typically leads the America East in several offensive categories. So far, the River Hawks have only allowed more than 56 points twice this season and are second in the league in scoring defense. The team held CCSU to a season-low 53 points on Nov. 17.
