LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell women's basketball team (1-3, 0-0 AE) returns home to host the Central Connecticut State University Blue Devils (1-3, 0-0 NEC) on Wednesday, November 24 at the Costello Athletic Center. Tip-off is slated for 1:00 p.m.

LOOKING AT UMASS LOWELL
The River Hawks enter Wednesday after falling to Northeastern on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore Sydney Coombs (Newmarket, N.H.) recorded a team-high 12 points and added three assists. Junior Shamyjha Price (Pittsburgh, Penn.) had a team-high seven rebounds and scored eight points. The team shot 34% from the field and just 13% from behind the arc. The River Hawks are 0-3 on the road and 1-0 at home this season.

SCOUTING CCSU
The Blue Devils are coming off a 67-63 loss to NJIT on November 21. Central Connecticut's only win this season came on the road, a 67-60 win over Brown. Forever Toppin leads the team averaging 8.5 points per game. Ashley Berube averages a team-high seven rebounds per game.  CCSU is 1-1 on the road this year.

A WIN WOULD
A win would be the second straight victory against Central Connecticut and would break a two-game losing skid for the River Hawks.

HOME COURT ADVANTAGE
Last year, the River Hawks won seven of their 10 home games.  More than half of their wins from last season came on the River Hawks home court. UMass Lowell's only win this season came at home, a 68-54 win over Bryant.

UP NEXT
The River Hawks are back after the holiday break on December 1 when they head to Ithaca, N.Y. to take on the Cornell Big Red.
