LOWELL, Mass. -- Senior goaltender
Tyler Wall (Leamington, Ont.) of the UMass Lowell Hockey team was honored as a Hockey East Third-Team All-Star, which was announced on Wednesday afternoon by the conference office.
Wall, who will earn his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, finished his senior campaign with a 18-8-6 record, starting 32 of 34 games for the River Hawks during the 2019-20 season. He posted a 2.10 GAA with a .931 save percentage and two shutouts. Wall ranked second in Hockey East and tied for ninth in the nation with a .931 save percentage. His 924 saves also ranked eighth nationally among Div. I goaltenders. His 336 saves in the third period and overtime ranked third nationally among goalies. Wall allowed two goals or fewer in 22 of 32 starts and amassed 30+ saves in 16 contents for the River Hawks. He also set a new career-high with a 45-save effort at Massachusetts on February 22nd at the Mullins Center.

In Hockey East play, he got the nod in all 24 league contests, posting a 12-7-5 record with a 2.31 GAA and a .928 save percentage, helping the UMass Lowell team to a third place finish in Hockey East. He ranked second among Hockey East goaltender with 12 victories and 775 saves, while his .928 save percentage was third best in the conference. His 2.31 GAA ranked fifth among Hockey East players. Wall recorded 30+ saves in 13 of 24 starts and allowed two goals or fewer in 15 starts in league play.
Wall finishes his UMass Lowell career playing in 103 games and 99 starts posting a 58-34-10 record with a 2.28 GAA and a .918 save percentage, to go along with nine shutouts. His 58 career wins are a new Div. I school record, breaking Dwayne Roloson's record of 51 wins earlier in the season. Wall ranks fourth all-time in program history with his 2.28 GAA and nine shutouts, while his .918 save percentage ranks third and his 2,509 ranks fifth all-time in UMass Lowell's DI history and sixth overall.
