River Hawks entertain Boston University at home Saturday afternoon

TICKETS FOR HOME CONTESTS: Tickets for Men's Lacrosse are $5 for adults. Children (8th grade and younger), Seniors (65 and over) and UMass Lowell students are free. Fans wishing to purchase admission for all men's and women's lacrosse games at a savings can do so with the Blue Pass, which includes admission to all men's and women's basketball games and men's and women's soccer games as well, for just $99. SCOUTING THE RIVER HAWKS: UMass Lowell opened the season with a 10-9 win against Quinnipiac on Saturday, February 8th. The River Hawks have beaten Quinnipiac in three straight years to open the season.

SCOUTING THE TERRIERS: BU is 0-2 to start the season after home losses to Providence (12-5) and most recently Ohio State (11-4). BU will begin a stretch of three games in seven days when it heads to Lowell on Saturday.

ALL-TIME SERIES VS. BU: The River Hawks a 0-2 all-time vs. the Terriers. BU won the last meeting by an 18-8 score in Lowell on February 11, 2017.

LAST TIME OUT: Sophomore midfielder Dakota Clark (Bedford, N.H.) amassed four goals in his debut to lead the UMass Lowell Men's Lacrosse team to a 10-9 season opening victory against Quinnipiac on Saturday afternoon at Cushing Field Complex. UMass Lowell went on to score four of the final five goals in the contest to seal the win for the River Hawks with tallies from Harry Morrill (Hyde Park, Mass.), Clark and two from Kyle Laforge (Tyngsboro, Mass.). LaForge's goal with 3:06 to play ended up being the game-winning goal, as Quinnpiac scored with under a minute left in regulation, but the goal was waived off due to a crease violation. Clark scored his third to open the scoring in the third quarter and then Quinnipiac answered with four straight goals in a span of 2:30. The River Hawks held a 5-4 lead at the half vs. the Warriors on two goals by Domenic Giachello (Somers, Conn.) in the second quarter and another goal by Clark. Giachello and Laforge each finished the day with three points (2g,1a). Quinnipiac opened the scoring in the game with two goals in the first five minutes of the game by Will Abbott and John DeLucia, but the River Hawks responded a little over two minutes later with freshman attackman Conor Foley's (Walpole, Mass.) first career tally and Clark's first goal with the River Hawks just 35 seconds apart. Sophomore goalie Hunter Braun (Hartland, Mich.) amassed 10 saves in the win, while Nick DiMuccio also recorded 10 stops in the losing effort for Quinnipiac. Senior defender Cam Hult (Nashua, N.H.) finished the day with four caused turnovers and three ground balls for the River Hawks. 

RIVER HAWK TRIO HONORED WITH WEEKLY AWARDS: Sophomore's Dakota Clark (Bedford, N.H.) and Hunter Braun (Hartland, Mich.) of the UMass Lowell Men's Lacrosse team were named America East Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week by the conference office on Monday afternoon, while freshman attackman Conor Foley (Walpole, Mass.) was named America East Rookie of the Week. Clark amassed four goals in his River Hawk debut in the 10-9 victory against Quinnipiac in the season opener on Saturday. Braun recorded 10 saves and two caused turnovers, including seven stops in the second half in the win for UMass Lowell. Foley netted two points (1g,1a) in his collegiate debut for the River Hawks on Saturday at Cushing Field Complex.

RIVER HAWK DEBUTS: Eight different River Hawks made their UMass Lowell debuts last Saturday against Quinnipiac, including Clark, Foley, Colin Deso (Charlton, Mass.), Zach D'Amico (Wrentham, Mass.), Nick Harvath (Whitmore Lake, Mich.), Zach Zeyher (Wilton, Conn.), Ben Gill (West Newbury, Mass.) and Kyle Love (Farmington Hills, Mich.).
