BOSTON – For their hard work and dedication in the classroom a total of 82 student-athletes competing in five fall sports were named to the 2019 America East Fall Honor Roll, as announced by the conference on Wednesday afternoon.  
 
Most notably of the 82 honorees, 62 percent (51) were selected to the Commissioner's Honor Roll.
 
"It is a great point of pride to have as many student-athletes on the honor roll as we do this fall," commented Alison Quandt Westgate, Associate Athletic Director for Academics and Student-Athlete Services. "Their overwhelming commitment to live the term student-athlete does not go unnoticed across campus and we look forward to another great semester ahead."
 
To be eligible for the America East Honor Roll, student-athletes must obtain a semester grade-point average of 3.00 or higher. To be named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll, student-athletes must complete the semester with a minimum of a 3.50 GPA. 
 
Leading the way this fall for the River Hawks was the men's cross-country team who had 23 student-athletes named to the Fall Honor Roll, including 14 on the Commissioner's Honor Roll. Women's cross country had an exceptional semester with 78 percent (14-of-18) of their team being awarded Honor Roll status.
 
Both men's and women's soccer as well as field hockey placed 15 student-athletes on the list, respectively.
