LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell women's basketball team returns to Costello Athletic Center for the 2020-21 home opener on Wednesday when the River Hawks host Northeastern for the first time in program history.

SCOUTING NORTHEASTERN
The Huskies are coming off of a 13-16 record from a year ago, including an even 9-9 split in CAA play. Northeastern, under the direction of seventh-year head coach Kelly Cole, is returning four starters and six letterwinners from the 2019-20 roster. The team is headlined by junior forward Alexis Hill, who was named to the All-CAA Second Team and All-Defensive Team after averaging 13.1 points and 6.4 rebounds. Point guard Stella Clark is back for her senior season, looking to improve on her 11.0 points and 4.8 boards per game. As a unit, the Huskies shot 40 percent (634-1562) from the floor, 30 percent (162-528) from beyond the arc and 65 percent (364-554) from the foul line.
