River Hawks Set To Host Northeastern and Boston University

LOWELL, Mass. – Unbeaten in its last two contests following a 2-1 at Holy Cross on Friday, the UMass Lowell men's soccer team hosts a pair of Boston schools as Northeastern and Boston University visit the Mill City this week.

Stanley Alves (Minas Gerais, Brazil) opened the scoring with his second tally of the season and Roko Prsa (Sisak, Croatia) recorded his fourth career game-winning goal as the River Hawks picked up their first win of the season. 

THE HUB 
Since the 2016 campaign, UMass Lowell is a combined 4-1 against the Huskies and Terriers, outscoring the opponents 8-3. 

RIVER HAWK LEADERS
Alves paces the lineup with his two goals and five points, while Renato Kauzlaric (Zagreb, Croatia) and Denis Petro (Michalovce, Slovakia) each have two assists.  Between the pipes, Patrik Gujic (Bjelovar, Croatia) has seven saves and a 2.26 GAA.
 
SCOUTING NORTHEASTERN

- The Huskies sit at 1-2 on the season, picking up their first win Saturday against Drexel
- Three players have recorded goals, with four dishing out assists
- Dan Munch sits atop the lineup with three points (1 G, 1 A)
- The Huskies lead the all-time series, 8-4

SCOUTING BOSTON UNIVERSITY
- The Terriers are in the midst of three-game skid to open the season
- BU has yet to score a goal and plays Merrimack on Tuesday night
- In net, Michael Stone has made 16 saves and has a 1.00 GAA
- BU leads the all-time series, 4-3

FIRST GOAL
Following the win at Holy Cross, the River Hawks are 34-1-4 since September 13, 2015 when scoring first.

I LIKE MY SHEETS CLEAN
Last season,  UMass Lowell set a new program mark with 403:33 consecutive shutout minutes. 

HAWK THE VOTE
UMass Lowell has been ranked in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 poll for 22 weeks since 2016.

NOTABLES
Denis Petro recorded his first collegiate point against Quinnipiac (9.2) ... six players have made their UMass Lowell debuts in the first three contests of the season.
