LOWELL, Mass. – Following a 1-1 opening weekend, the UMass Lowell men's soccer team heads back out on the road with a Friday night matchup at Holy Cross in Worcester.Â
The River Hawks fell to Providence in game one, before earning a draw against Quinnipiac behind goals from
Chase Reichenberg (Hamburg, Germany) and
Stanley Alves (Minas Gerais, Brazil).Â
GETTING REVENGE
Holy Cross' 2-1 victory last season ended an unbeaten streak of 33 games when UMass Lowell scored first. The setback also snapped the River Hawks' four-game home winning streak.Â
RIVER HAWK LEADERS
Alves and Reichenberg have the team's goals, while
Renato Kauzlaric (Zagreb, Croatia) has two assists. Freshman
Denis Petro (Michalovce, Slovakia) recorded his first career helper in the draw. Between the pipes,
Patrik Gujic (Bjelovar, Croatia) has three saves and a 2.86 GAA.
