LOWELL, Mass. - The 2019 season raised the bar for the UMass Lowell softball team, as the River Hawks rewrote the record books and cemented themselves as serious competitors at the Division I level.
After back-to-back years finishing in second, the River Hawks reached new heights in 2019 with their first ever America East Regular-Season Championship.
The team earned the title thanks to an impressive conference season that featured a Division I program-best, 15-3 mark. Overall, UMass Lowell went 28-20 this season, setting new DI program records for total wins and win percentage (.583).
