LOWELL, Mass. - After making an appearance in the America East Championship title game in 2018 for the first time in program history, Head Coach
Danielle Henderson has her team ready to build off of last year's momentum. The River Hawks are set to begin the new season on Friday, February 8 at the River City Leadoff, a five-game tournament hosted by Jacksonville University.
The River Hawks have their sights set on returning to Championship Sunday in May and with a large group of returning student-athletes, Henderson can sense the desire for redemption brewing.
"I think there's just a very different mindset in how we're approaching practice every day," said the fifth-year head coach. "Everything you do, you're doing it to be able to win and put yourself in the best scenario possible and I think that was something that we lacked last year, just not having that experience. So this year, we have a whole different energy, a whole different attitude and we're just hoping that when we get to go out there we can run with that."
