LOWELL, Mass. -- Last season's UMass Lowell baseball team came within seven outs from playing for the America East Championship, but two heartbreaking one-run losses ended the River Hawks' first Division I postseason appearance short of a title.
"I've seen that swing in my head all summer long and I think the guys have too, and we knew we were right at the cusp of putting ourselves in a position to play for a championship but we did not get it done. We are ready to go and we have been using it as extra motivation to get ready for this spring.
The 2019 campaign begins with 10 games against three Top 26 teams, including #9 Georgia and #7 North Carolina after the season opening series at Arizona, starting on February 15.
