LOWELL, Mass. -- For the third season in a row, the UMass Lowell men's soccer team will meet up with UAlbany in the America East Championship, this time in the quarterfinals on Saturday, November 9 at 3 p.m.
Each of the previous matchups have been held in Lowell, with the teams each picking up a win. In the 2018 semifinals, the River Hawks ended the Great Danes' season with a 1-0 win to avenge the double overtime loss in the 2017 title game.
Stanley Alves scored twice and
Denis Petro picked up two assists in the 3-2 loss to Hartford to close out the regular season.Â
THE SECOND SEASON
The River Hawks are 2-2 in AE Championship action, including a run to the 2017 title game, but are 0-1 on the road.

Stanley Alves (Minas Gerais, Brazil) paces the lineup with his six goals and 14 points, and is one of four players with two or more assists.
Roko Prsa (Sisak, Croatia),
Sancho Maroto Tobias (Alcobendas, Madrid) and
Alejandro Osorio (Hollywood, Fla.) have scored a pair as well, while
Denis Petro (Michalovce, Slovakia) has helped facilitate the offense with his six helpers. Between the pipes,
Patrik Gujic (Bjelovar, Croatia) has 26 saves and an 1.14 GAA, along with five shutouts.
ROOKIE SZN
With his two-goal performance in the win against Stony Brook,
Sancho Maroto Tobias was named the America East Rookie of the Week. The freshman's first career scores in the second half sent the River Hawks to their third consecutive America East tournament.
FIRST GOAL WINS
The River Hawks bounced back in the win at Stony Book to improve their record to 41-2-4 since September 13, 2015 when scoring first.Â
SCOUTING UALBANY
- The Great Danes earned the third seed with a 9-6-1 mark and a 4-3 record in AE play
- Austin DaSilva leads the team with 12 goals and 25 points
- Niklas Roessler has dished out four assists
- Isac Hjerten has a 1.24 GAA and a 6-4-1 record in net
- UAlbany leads the all-time series, 9-4
KING OF THE NET
Patrik Gujic returned to action but saw his program record consecutive shutout minutes streak snapped in the 71st minute, ending the run at 563:07. The sophomore has now surpassed Bobby Ritter's consecutive minutes and Ritter's four consecutive shutout marks.Â

I LIKE MY SHEETS CLEAN
The River Hawks consecutive shutout minutes program record ended at 506:32. The new mark surpassed the previous record by over 100 minutes (403:33) that the 2018 team set.
HOME, SWEET HOME
Over the last 33 games at Cushing Field, the hosts are 25-4-4 dating back to 2016, including a 1-1 mark in the postseason.The River Hawks are 34-11-5 in the Mill City since 2014.
AGAINST THE CONFERENCE AT CUSHING
Since the end of the 2015 season, UMass Lowell is 14-2-1 against America East opponents at Cushing Field. The loss against New Hampshire was the River Hawks' first setback since the 2017 America East Championship game, and snapped the team's five-game streak.Â
ROKO MEANS CLUTCH
Roko Prsa is tied for third in the league with two game-winning goals so far in 2019, and has recorded five in his UMass Lowell career.
