River Hawks travel to top seed UNH for America East semifinals on Wednesday

UMass Lowell owns a 1-1 all-time record vs. UNH in the conference semifinals

LOOKING AT UMASS LOWELL
For the third consecutive season, the River Hawks and Wildcats will meet in the America East playoffs. UNH won the meeting in 2018 by a 2-0 score in the AE semis, while UMass Lowell won the first playoff meeting in the AE semis in 2017 (2-1) at Cushing Field Complex.

A WIN WOULD..
- Advance UMass Lowell to its second appearance in the AE Championship Game
- Be the River Hawks' fourth postseason win at the DI level

LAST TIME OUT
- The River Hawks took out UAlbany by a 1-0 score on the road Saturday
- Alejandro Osorio (63'; 3rd goal) scored the lone goal in the victory
- Patrik Gujic made nine saves in his ninth win of the season

THE SECOND SEASON
The River Hawks are 3-2 in AE Championship action, including a run to the 2017 title game. They own a 1-1 all-time mark on the road. In their two previous semifinal appearances, the have faced the Wildcats both times. Senior back Ivan Blaskic is the only active River Hawk with a playoff goal against UNH.

RIVER HAWK LEADERS
Stanley Alves (Minas Gerais, Brazil) paces the lineup with his six goals and 14 points, and is one of four players with two or more assists. Alejandro Osorio (Hollywood, Fla.) has three goals, which included the lone goal in the AE quarterfinal, while Denis Petro (Michalovce, Slovakia) has helped facilitate the offense with his six helpers. Between the pipes, Patrik Gujic (Bjelovar, Croatia) owns a 9-3-1 record with 35 saves and an 1.05 GAA, along with six shutouts.

ROOKIE SZN
With his two-goal performance in the win against Stony Brook, Sancho Maroto Tobias was named the America East Rookie of the Week. The freshman's first career scores in the second half sent the River Hawks to their third consecutive America East tournament.

FIRST GOAL WINS
The River Hawks scored the lone goal in the AE quarterfinal at UAlbany to improve to 42-2-4 since September 13, 2015 when scoring first. 

SCOUTING NEW HAMPSHIRE
- The earned the top seed and one of two quarterfinal byes with a 12-1-3 overall mark and a 5-1-1 record in conference play (16 pts).
  AE Midfielder of the Year Antonio Colacci leads the team with 6 goals, 8 assists
- Alejandro Robles owns a 9-1-3 record with 27 saves (0.42 GAA, .818 sv%)
- UNH is coming off a 1-1 tie with No. 2 seed Vermont in the regular-season finale
- UNH leads the all-time series vs. the River Hawk, 6-3

KING OF THE NET
Patrik Gujic returned to action but saw his program record consecutive shutout minutes streak snapped in the 71st minute, ending the run at 563:07. The sophomore has now surpassed Bobby Ritter's consecutive minutes and Ritter's four consecutive shutout marks. 
 
I LIKE MY SHEETS CLEAN
The River Hawks consecutive shutout minutes program record ended at 506:32. The new mark surpassed the previous record by over 100 minutes (403:33) that the 2018 team set.

HOME, SWEET HOME
Over the last 33 games at Cushing Field, the hosts are 25-4-4 dating back to 2016, including a 1-1 mark in the postseason.The River Hawks are 34-11-5 in the Mill City since 2014.

AGAINST THE CONFERENCE AT CUSHING
Since the end of the 2015 season, UMass Lowell is 14-2-1 against America East opponents at Cushing Field. The loss against New Hampshire was the River Hawks' first setback since the 2017 America East Championship game, and snapped the team's five-game streak. 

ROKO MEANS CLUTCH
Roko Prsa is tied for third in the league with two game-winning goals so far in 2019, and has recorded five in his UMass Lowell career.

HAWK THE VOTE
UMass Lowell has been ranked in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 poll for 22 weeks since 2016.

NOTABLES
Mario Mora Perez (Liberia, Costa Rica) scored his first career goal at Massachusetts (9.21) ... Denis Petro (Michalovce, Slovakia) recorded his first collegiate point against Quinnipiac (9.2)and scored his goal at Merrimack (9.17) ... six players have made their UMass Lowell debuts in the first three contests of the season.
