River Hawks Bring Winning Streak to Binghamton for AE Road Clash

LOWELL, Mass. –
 The UMass Lowell men's soccer team hits the road for the first time in America East play, as the River Hawks look to pick up their fifth straight win as they take the field against Binghamton on Saturday night.

Stanley Alves (Minas Gerais, Brazil) provided the offense in the conference opener against UMBC, as his goal in the 43rd minute sent the River Hawks to the 1-0 win. Alves was also named the River Hawk of the Week for the second time this season. 

RIVER HAWK LEADERS
 Alves  paces the lineup with his three goals and eight points, and is one of four players with two or more assists. Roko Prsa (Sisak, Croatia) has scored a pair as well, while Renato Kauzlaric (Zagreb, Croatia) has helped the offense with his four helpers. Between the pipes, Patrik Gujic (Bjelovar, Croatia) has 13 saves and an 1.20 GAA.

 SCOUTING BINGHAMTON
- The Bearcats sit at 2-5-1 after falling 2-0 to UNH in the teams' conference opener
- Noah Luescher leads the team with four goals and nine points, adding an assist
- In net, Mats Roorda has made all eight starts with 35 save and a 2.06 GAA
- The River Hawks lead the all-time series, 6-2-1

ON THE ROAD AGAIN...
Tomorrow's contest marks the fifth contest away from the Mill City in 2019. The River Hawks are 3-1 so far this season on the road and have knocked off Binghamton in their last two matchups in Vestal.

FIRST GOAL WINS
Including the four-game winning streak, the River Hawks are 38-1-4 since September 13, 2015 when scoring first.

AGAINST THE CONFERENCE AT CUSHING
Since the end of the 2015 season, UMass Lowell is 13-1-1 against America East opponents at Cushing Field. The lone loss came against UAlbany in the 2017 Championship game, and the River Hawks won all five of such games since.

HOME, SWEET HOME
Over the last 30 games at Cushing Field, the hosts are 23-3-4 dating back to 2016, including a 1-1 mark in the postseason.The River Hawks are 32-10-5 in the Mill City since 2014.

ROLLING WITH RENATO
Renato Kauzlaric paces the conference with four assists. The sophomore has dished out six helpers in his young career with the River Hawks.

ROKO MEANS CLUTCH
Roko Prsa is tied for second in the league with two game-winning goals so far in 2019, and has recorded five in his UMass Lowell career.

I LIKE MY SHEETS CLEAN
The River Hawks have not allowed a goal since the 78th minute against Boston University on September 14, a streak of 302:20. Last season, UMass Lowell set a new program mark with 403:33 consecutive shutout minutes. 

HAWK THE VOTE
UMass Lowell has been ranked in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 poll for 22 weeks since 2016.

NOTABLES
Mario Mora Perez (Liberia, Costa Rica) scored his first career goal at Massachusetts (9.21) ... Denis Petro (Michalovce, Slovakia) recorded his first collegiate point against Quinnipiac (9.2)and scored his goal at Merrimack (9.17) ... six players have made their UMass Lowell debuts in the first three contests of the season.
