River Hawks Close Out Non-Conference Slate Against Brown, Before Senior Night on Saturday

LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell men's soccer team enters the home stretch of the 2019 campaign and plays its final two home games of the season this week, culminating with the program's Senior Night on Saturday against Stony Brook.

The River Hawks look to snap their three-game skid in the non-conference finale against Brown on Wednesday night. Both games will be available on ESPN+. 

RIVER HAWK LEADERS
Stanley Alves (Minas Gerais, Brazil) paces the lineup with his four goals and 10 points, and is one of four players with two or more assists. Roko Prsa (Sisak, Croatia) amd Alejandro Osorio (Hollywood, Fla.) have scored a pair as well, while Renato Kauzlaric (Zagreb, Croatia) has helped facilitate the offense with his four helpers. Between the pipes, Patrik Gujic has 18 saves and an 0.97 GAA.

HOME, SWEET HOME
Over the last 32 games at Cushing Field, the hosts are 24-4-4 dating back to 2016, including a 1-1 mark in the postseason.The River Hawks are 33-11-5 in the Mill City since 2014.

AGAINST THE CONFERENCE AT CUSHING
Since the end of the 2015 season, UMass Lowell is 13-2-1 against America East opponents at Cushing Field. The loss against New Hampshire was the River Hawks' first setback since the 2017 America East Championship game, and snapped the team's five-game streak. 

FIRST GOAL WINS
The setback at Vermont lowered the River Hawks' record to 40-2-4 since September 13, 2015 when scoring first. The previous setback came during the 2018 season, a 2-1 loss to Holy Cross. 

SCOUTING BROWN
- The Bears are 2-8-3 with both wins coming on the road
- Derek Waleffe is the only player with multiple scores (2) and is one of three players with four points
- Three goalies have seen playing time this season, with James Swomley posting a 2-5-2 mark with 40 saves and a 1.06 GAA
- Brown holds a 2-1 edge in the all-time series

SCOUTING STONY BROOK
- The Seawolves are 4-9-2 and are coming off their first AE win of the season (1-4)
- Jarred Dass has scored six goals and leads the team with 12 points
- Mark Irvine is the lone player with multiple assists
- Edmond Kaiser has made 12 appearances in net, making 51 saves with a 1.55 GAA
- The River Hawks lead the all-time series, 7-2-1

KING OF THE NET
Patrik Gujic continued his program record consecutive shutout minutes streak with the win against Harvard, extending the mark to 492:20  The sophomore has now surpassed Bobby Ritter's consecutive minutes and Ritter's four consecutive shutout marks. 
 
I LIKE MY SHEETS CLEAN
The River Hawks consecutive shutout minutes program record ended at 506:32. The new mark surpassed the previous record by over 100 minutes (403:33) that the 2018 team set.

ROLLING WITH RENATO
Renato Kauzlaric is one of five players in the conference with four assists. The sophomore has dished out six helpers in his young career with the River Hawks.

ROKO MEANS CLUTCH
Roko Prsa is tied for third in the league with two game-winning goals so far in 2019, and has recorded five in his UMass Lowell career.

HAWK THE VOTE
UMass Lowell has been ranked in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 poll for 22 weeks since 2016.

NOTABLES
Mario Mora Perez (Liberia, Costa Rica) scored his first career goal at Massachusetts (9.21) ... Denis Petro (Michalovce, Slovakia) recorded his first collegiate point against Quinnipiac (9.2)and scored his goal at Merrimack (9.17) ... six players have made their UMass Lowell debuts in the first three contests of the season.
