With one minute left in the first half, Izzy Lachcik equalized the score for Hartford when she dribbled the ball just outside the box pushing it into the bottom right corner of the net.
Â
Heading into their fifth overtime of the season, the River Hawks were unable to make the save when Sierra Stone capitalized on a pass from Skylar Vitiello, bringing the final score to 2-1.

25 YEARS STRONG
This season we would like your help in celebrating 25 years of River Hawk Women's soccer. Our goal is to have 125 donors, which marks the 125th year anniversary of the University, donate $25 dollars to celebrate our 25th season of women's soccer. In the past, funds have been used for locker room renovations, enhancing our high-performance environment, and securing a more challenging out of conference schedule. We are at this point in history because of the previous 24 teams that have paved the way for us, and as we continue to build our program, we need your help! BUILDING ON A HISTORIC SEASON
The team secured their first-ever bid to the America East Tournament, making their way as far as the championship game. After a stand-out 2018 season by the 11-member freshman class, tallying 17 goals and 44 points, it's no wonder three of them garnered America-East All-Rookie team nominations.
Emily Nelson (Peabody, Mass.),
Dunja Mostarac (Belgrade, Serbia) and
Kristina Bartsch (Pulheim, Germany), continue to strive in the 2019 season, with Bartsch tallying 13 shots and Mostarac recording five over the nine games. Nelson continues her scoring streak from last year with four goals so far this season, increasing her career total to 11 goals and two assists for a total of 24 points.
Â
EXTRA EXTRA
The River Hawks have competed in nine contests this year with more than half of them ending in overtime minutes. Repeating the 2018 season, the squad has now brought five different teams into overtime for an average of 95 minutes per game.
Â
FRESH FACES
The Freshman class continues to make strides with eight of them recording shots over the past nine games.
Cristina Blaya (Madrid, Spain.) and
Anna Edson (Beverly, Mass.) continue to lead the class in shots on goal with two each.
