Ryan Dmowski (East Lyme, Conn.) and junior goaltender
Tyler Wall (Leamington, Ont.) have been named Hockey East Player of the Week and Hockey East Defensive Player, respectively, as announced by league office on Monday afternoon.
Dmowski recorded both game-winning goals with six shots on goal and a +2 plus/minus rating in the Hockey East weekend sweep of Vermont at the Tsongas Center.Â
Dmowski ranks fourth in the team in scoring with 12 points and his seven goals rank tied for second on the team along with
Kenny Hausinger. In 22 contests this year, he has amassed a team-leading 77 shots on goal (3.5 shots per game).
Wall stopped all 25 shots in his six career shutout on Saturday in the 2-0 victory vs. the Catamounts for his sixth win of the year. It marked Wall's third shutout of the season and it was his sixth game with 25 or more saves this season.
Wall has posted a 6-6-1 record with a 2.04 GAA and a .922 save percentage in 13 starts for the River Hawks in his junior campaign.
The No. 19 ranked River Hawks return to action on Friday, January 25th at Boston College. Game time from Conte Forum is 7 p.m.
