LOWELL, Mass. -- Coming up an overtime loss at UAlbany, the UMass Lowell women's basketball team returns home for a pair beginning with its matchup against Hartford on Saturday afternoon.

The River Hawks could not convert on two chances in the final minutes to earn a victory at UAlbany. The Great Danes outscored the visitors, 11-4, in the overtime period to pull out the come from behind win. Brianna Rudolph (Lynn, Mass.) led the way for UMass Lowell with 13 points, and Bri Stiers (Denver, Colo.) added a career-high five assists.

Helping Herself
With her 93 helpers, Ren'Cia Rolling (Lansing, Ill.) is 54 assists away from setting the program's all-time single-season assist record, set in 2012-13 by Bianca Simmons (146). In her first season as a River Hawk, Rolling is already fourth all-time in the DI era for assists in a season.

Checking the Boxes
The victory in Baltimore marked the River Hawks first win over an America East team other than Vermont since 2015, and was the first conference road win for the program since 2015, as well.

20-20 Vision
The efforts by Brianna Rudolph and Katherine Smith at UMBC marked the first time that the team had two players score 20 or more points in a single game since December 10, 2014. Shannon Samuels and Jasmine McRoy recorded 31 and 20, respectively, in a win against Bryant.

-Brianna Rudolph is averaging 12.8 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, along with 32 steals
-Ren'Cia Rolling has 93 assists and 30 steals

-Lindsey Abed leads the team with 13.3 points per game, 45 assists and 45 steals
-Ella Awobajo is grabbing 5.4 rebounds per game, with Sierra Smith adding 11 blocks
-Hartford is shooting 37.2 percent from the field and 28.9 percent from three-point range

Turning Mistakes into Points
The River Hawks matched their season high with 24 points off of turnovers in the win at Massachusetts. UMass Lowell out gained the Minutewomen, 24-3, for the team's largest advantage of the season.

Rolling All the Way to the Top
With her 10 assists against Fisher, Ren'Cia Rolling became the program' s DI single-game leader and the first player to reach double digit assists in a game since 2012.

Helping Each Other Out
The 25 team assists by UMass Lowell set a new Division I team high and is the most by a River Hawk team since 2016.

Stealing a Spot in the Records
With her six steals against Bryant, Brianna Rudolph now holds the Division I single-game mark. She now sits sixth in DI career history with 52 swipes.

Stealers and Helpers
The River Hawks have recorded 10+ steals and assists in three contests in 2018-19, a feat the team achieved four times in 2017-18.

Speeding Up the Fast Break
In the first 18 games of the season, UMass Lowell has already surpassed the team's total fast break output from last year, scoring 106 points on the break. In 2017-18 the River Hawks scored 97 and averaged 3.2 points per game.
