Ryan Lohin (Chadds Ford, Pa.) of the UMass Lowell Hockey team have been nominated for the Hobey Baker Memorial Award, which was announced on Monday.
Online fan voting has now commenced for the most prestigious individual award in college hockey and will continue through the night of March 10th.Â
Hernberg has started eight of 20 games for the River Hawks so far this season, posting a 6-2-0 record with a 2.16 GAA and a .919 save percentage to go along with two shutouts. He has amassed 25+ saves in five of eight starts and has allowed two goals or fewer on five occasions. In his last four starts, Hernberg owns a 4-0 record with a 1.25 GAA and a .958 save percentage.Â
Lohin leads the River Hawks with 17 points and eight goals in 16 games this season. He has registered a point in 11 of 16 contests so far this year, which includes four multi-point efforts and three multiple-goal performances.Â
All 60 Division I college coaches vote for three players from their own conference and three players from the rest of the college hockey. Then, the Vote for Hobey aggregate fan vote's one percent is factored in and 10 finalists will be announced in the middle of March.
The Hobey Baker Selection Committee, along with a second aggregate of the fan's one percent vote, will be combined to come up with the "Hobey Hat Trick" which will be announced in late March
The 2019Â Hobey Baker winner will then be announced on Friday, April 12th at the Frozen Four in Buffalo, N.Y.
