LOWELL, Mass. – Looking to rebound from a 2-1 loss against Holy Cross on Tuesday night, the No. 16 UMass Lowell men's soccer team returns to conference action with a road contest on Long Island against the Seawolves.

Renato Kauzlaric (Zagreb, Croatia) tallied his second goal in as many games in the effort, as the River Hawks dropped only their second contest at home since 2016. 
 
RIVER HAWK LEADERS
Stanley Alves (Minas Gerais, Brazil) still paces the team with four scores and with three game-winning goals, and sits tied with Roko Prsa (3g, 3a) with nine points. Kauzlaric and Mayele Malango (Kinshasa, Congo) have a pair of helpers to go with their tallies. Between the pipes, Zach Rowell (Haverhill, Mass.) is 5-1-2 with 16 saves and a 0.49 GAA, in addition to four shutouts, while Gujic is 1-1-0 with eight saves and a 0.40 GAA.
 
SOARING IN THE NATION
- The River Hawks rank eighth in the NCAA with a 0.47 GAA
- Rowell is ninth with a 0.49 GAA to lead the America East with four shutouts as well
- Alves' three game-winning goals ranks seventh and is tied atop the conference

FIRST GOAL
The defeat against the Crusaders marked the first loss for the River Hawks since September 13, 2015 when UMass Lowell scores first, adding the first blemish to a 29-0-3 record.

ON THE ROAD, AGAIN
A season after going 3-6-0 away from Lowell, the River Hawks are 2-1-2 in the road blues so far in the young 2018. Including this weekend, UMass Lowell has three road games remaining.

Stanford's lone goal snapped UMass Lowell's program record consecutive shutout minutes mark at 403:33.

- The Seawolves enter the matchup a 4-3-1 and 1-0-0 in America East play
- Stony Brook scored two unanswered tallies to knock of UAlbany, 2-1 on Sept. 21
- SBU is 3-2-1 on the island, outscoring visitors 6-5
- Serge Gamwanya leads the lineup with 5 goals for 10 points, Martieon Watson has dished out four helpers
- In net, Christian Miesch has a 1.25 GAA and one shutout in his seven appearances
- The River Hawks are 7-1-1 all-time and have won the last six meetings

HAWK THE VOTE
UMass Lowell has been ranked in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 poll for 22 weeks since 2016. The River Hawks are also the top team in the Northeast poll for the third consecutive week. 

HOME, SWEET HOME
Over the last 20 games at Cushing Field, the hosts are 17-2-3 dating back to 2016. The River Hawks are 26-9-4 in the Mill City since 2014.

Kauzlaric and Gujic were named AE Rookie and Defensive Player of the Week (9.24) ... coming off his first career shutout, Rowell was named the America East Defensive Player of the Week (8.20).
