LOWELL, Mass. -- As the 2018 season begins, Head Coach Christian Figueroa has his team ready to build off a trip to the America East Championship game in 2017 and poised to not only take the next step, but to set a new standard of UMass Lowell soccer.
 
Two years removed from the program's first America East regular-season title, the River Hawks know the potential they have and set the expectations to match. For the second consecutive season, Figueroa saw his team be pegged as the favorite by the other coaches in league.
