LOWELL, Mass. -- Following the final non-conference home contests against Fairfield over the week, the UMass Lowell baseball team wraps up it's non-conference slate with a pair of road contests at Bryant and Siena on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The River Hawks took two out of three against the Stags, including a doubleheader sweep, led by Steve Passatempo's (Medford, Mass.) five RBI and Nick Rand's (Hyde Park, N.J.) first career complete game.

Leading the Flock
Olive sits atop the lineup with his .358 average, 62 hits, 13 home runs, 12 doubles and is third with 34 RBI. Colby Maiola (North Reading, Mass.) is batting .310, with 17 stolen bases, seven dingers and is trailing Cam Climo (Billerica, Mass.) with 35 RBI, as Climo leads the team with 39. As a team, UMass Lowell has connected for 35 home runs and 386 hits. On the mound, Luke Tomczyk (Chili, N.Y.) is posting a 2.31 ERA, with Andrew Ryan (Rochester, Mass.) and Henry Funaro (Lowell, Mass.) pacing the staff with four wins each. The top three strikeout leaders are Andrew Ryan (69), Jack Riley (66) and Henry Funaro (44). Rand and Tomczyk both have four saves, as well. The River Hawks are batting .253 as a team, with a 5.36 ERA.

We Talkin' Playoffs
UMass Lowell has clinched its first ever berth in the America East tournament in the River Hawks' opening year of postseason eligibility. Entering the final week of the regular season, the boys in blue sit in a four-way for second place looking to earn a first-round bye.

Kyle Maurice named Rookie of the Week (3.8) ... Ryan and Funaro picked up Pitcher and Co-Rookie of the Week (4.17) ... Olive earned America East Player of the Week honors (3.13) ... Funaro was named the AE Rookie of the Week (2.20).

Scouting Bryant
The Bulldogs (29-20-1) have alternated wins and losses since starting May with back-to-back losses and earned a 3-2 victory against Wagner on May 13. Ryan Ward paces the offense with his .414 average, 91 hits, 21 doubles, five triples, eight home runs and 46 RBI, while being second with 46 runs. The pitching staff is led by Craig Lacey's 3.31 ERA and he is one of four hurlers with five wins. Jack Patterson has recorded 80 strikeouts in 71 innings pitched. Bryant is batting .299 with a 4.42 ERA.

The River Hawks lead the all-time series, 28-15, but Bryant has won seven straight.

Entering the weekend, Andrew Ryan and Jack Riley are the top two strikeout producers in the America East. Ryan leads the conference with 64, with Riley right behind him with 63 strikeouts.

No More No-No Streak
The no-hitter against Maine was only the second time in program history that the offense could not deliver a base knock. The first came in the opening game of 1977, snapping a streak of 1,730 straight games with at least one hit.

Home Run Trot
With 35 home runs on the season, and eight games remaining, the River Hawks are on pace to pass their previous DI high of 37 long balls, set last season. Six players have homered so far this season.

Break Out the Brooms
The sweep of UMBC was only the third clean sheet in a series for the River Hawks since joining the America East, and first in the Mill City. The previous two came at UMBC (2014) and at Hartford (2015).

Colby Jack
UMass Lowell has connected on two grand slams over the last two seasons, both coming off the bat of Maiola.
